An Appreciation for the North East is a community led pop up exhibition highlighting music, creative and nightlife/rave culture in the North East and UK, curated by Big Beat Manifesto working in collaboration with some of Newcastle’s biggest music events Big Fat Rave, Shy Bairns, Alleywrks, Wheel Up, Granville Collective, Energy Cru and Raw Cuts.

Celebrating the creative scene which is being negatively impacted by the current economic and political crisis in the UK, specifically its effect on nightclubs and grassroots music venues. Looking through the lens of the amazing photographers and videographers who have been documenting these inclusive communities, and bringing them together for a large collaborative exhibition to support and promote both the events and the artists/photographers that document them.

The exhibition will also be available online at chromic.co.uk (wip) where all work as well as merch (clothing, jewellery etc) from the artist and events will be available to purchase, to directly support the individuals involved.

The exhibition will feature work by Adam Reich, 3flavours, Yung Villain, Leo Merryfield, Cicely GraceTia, Tom Hewitt, Jacob Weston, Aaron Wyld, Izz Gibson Smith + more TBC
