NEWCASTLE CONTEMPORARY ART
Newcastle Contemporary Art (NCA) is a vibrant, inclusive gallery located within the High Bridge Works building — a hub for creativity in the heart of Newcastle city centre. NCA champions creative experimentation and critical dialogue, connecting regional practices with national and international conversations. Through an evolving programme of exhibitions, commissions, and events, NCA supports artists and audiences to explore new ideas, challenge conventions, and engage with the social and cultural issues shaping our time.

Step into a world where myth, memory, and material collide. Le Bas continues her exploration of linguistics, mythology, and Gypsy Roma Traveller narratives through the tactile power of textiles, language, and storytelling. Unfolding as a monumental installation across both gallery spaces and beyond, which will transform the building into a living, breathing tapestry of interconnected stories.

PerHaps Now
Artists in Residence
During January and February, performance troupe PerHaps Now were artists in residence at NCA. Known for their innovative use of unconventional props, intense physicality, absurd humour, and clever wordplay, this dynamic performance troupe creates visually arresting and thought-provoking work.
As part of their residency, the troupe presented two public performances:
